Where are you based?

I live in Los Angeles, California, but enjoy traveling and hold a UK passport.

Do you have any testimonials from couples or have you been featured in magazines ?

Glad you asked, I’ve been lucky enough to have my wedding photography the subject of several features and interviews in various magazines and websites. Some of the places that have featured my weddings include Brides Magazine, Your Wedding Magazine, Wedding Planner Magazine, Photo Professional Magazine, rocknrollbride.com, Tattoo Revolution Magazine, Saviour Weddings Blog, London Wedding Magazine

Below are a few testimonials from happy brides and grooms that I’ve had the honor of shooting their wedding day.

Al captured the best of everyone at our wedding. He was so easy to work with and full of fantastic ideas. On the day itself he struck a great balance between blending in unnoticed and interacting with us. I could not recommend him highly enough. xx
– Piera & Tom

“All we can say is WOW we are blown away by how amazing the pics are! You captured every moment that was special to us and more! The shooting style complimented the fun feeling of the day and everyone felt relaxed around you which made for better pictures! We truly LOVE  them and want to say a massive THANK YOU!  The director of the hotel has emailed me and asked if they can use a couple of the pictures to promote the hotel we had the reception as well! ”
Michelle & Craig

”  We loved our photo shoot with Al. He came up with a constant stream of ideas for us to do, and was really accommodating to our own ideas. He was fun, funny, incredibly creative, utterly professional and the photos he took were spectacular. If you’ve got a fresh idea for your wedding photos then Al is definitely the guy to go to. ”
– Nicola & Colin

“ Wow these are great! Thanks Al! Xx. Thanks for rushing them through so we could see them before we got back from the honeymoon too. ”
Lucy & Chris

” Wedding pictures received yesterday & loved! Thanks Al, they are blinding! 🙂

Can we meet you before we book you?

Of course, I’m happy to meet for coffee and have a chat with you to see what your plans are for your wedding day and to see if we get on well.

Do you require a booking fee?

Yes, this is included in the price listed here. Once you have decided you want to book me, I can send you out the information to secure your booking and the ‘wishlist’ form for the coverage of your day. The full balance is required before the wedding itself.

Will you attend the rehearsal?

I’m happy to attend your wedding rehearsal or join you to scout the venue before your big day. This can be a great way to spot any technical requirements and give you peace-of-mind for the day..

How long do you keep the files for?

I have a super-nerdy backup regime thanks to being an ex-forensic analyst. In theory I will have a back-up of these images for several years. I keep multiple copies for 12 months after the wedding, but recommend that you keep a back-up of your images at a different location to your home for safety ( I can provide you extra copies or replace back-ups at a small admin cost).

Is there a discount if we have you at the wedding for a few hours less?

I’m happy to shoot getting ready, ceremony, reception and beyond the first dance, but if you want less coverage that is also fine. Not everyone wants a photographer there for the whole day. My wedding rate ensures you are the only client I am focused on for the day, so I don’t charge by the hour, meaning you don’t have to worry if the day runs behind schedule.

Do you cover the after-wedding party?

Most wedding venues have a early curfew and I usually keep shooting several songs after the first dance. If you are planning to dance late into the night and want me to continue coverage, please speak to me in advance as under some circumstances this may incur additional costs.

Do I need to choose color or black and white, I’m confused?

I shoot the event in color, then process your images in both natural color and high contrast black-and-white. If you want images delivered in the ‘faux vintage film look’ please discuss this with me before the wedding day as it takes extra processing time. The formal portraits are only delivered in color unless discussed in advance.

Will you shoot posed group shots?

Of course! My focus is on capturing the free, unpredictable moments that become memories after a wedding day I prefer to keep the ‘formal shoot’ part of the day short. Usually I recommend up to 5 ‘groups’ to be shot in about a 15 minute period, this way the flow of he day isn’t interrupted and people don’t get bored. The Newlywed posed shots are taken separately to this.

How soon before we can see the photos?

It usually takes 3-4 weeks for me to produce the final images for you. I like to send through some teasers before this.

Can we make prints from the files you give us?

Yes, I include a ‘rights’ document on the USB so that the photo lab knows that you are allowed to have prints made of the shots. You can’t sell them commercially without additional permissions from me.
